2017 SWAGR Time Standards
Central California and Sierra Nevada Swimming are again sponsoring the South Western Age Group Regional (SWAGR) Meet. CCS hosted the meet in 2016, and this year Sierra Nevada Swimming will be hosting the meet on March 16-19, 2017 in Roseville, California. The meet is currently being sanctioned and as soon as it is, and the meet information sheet is available, it will be published on this website.
In the mean time, put the meet on your team calendars. The entry time standards are available thru the link at the top of this column
USA Swimming at the 2016 USAS Convention passed a new rule mandating that Deck Pass be accepted at all USA Swimming sanctioned competitions as proof of membership and certification. As such CCS has decided to no longer print and mail non-athlete membership cards. If you have any questions, feel free to contact Jim Patterson (contact info available thru the Contact CCS link to the right).

2017 Catch The Spirit Camp Athlete Application
CCS will be selecting an All-Star team of 11-14 year olds to participate in our third annual CCS sponsored, USA Swimming “Catch the Spirit Camp” in Fresno, CA, April 29-30. Parents will check-in their athletes on deck at Clovis North Aquatic Center on Saturday at Noon, April 29. This overnight camp includes 2 pool sessions aimed at getting the best in CCS together to train and race, 2 educational classroom sessions, team building exercises, and a motivational speech and pool technique session with 3 time USA Olympian and co-star of the swimming documentary, "Touch the Wall," Kara Lynn Joyce. Athletes will be released back to parents on Sunday afternoon, after a brief parent education seminar led by Ms. Joyce.
Applications are available on the CCS website (click on the link at the top of this column) and will be distributed at the CCS Short Course Junior Olympics in Fresno, February 17-20, 2017. All CCS swimmers 11-14 who have ANY AA times are encouraged to apply for selection to the 2017 All Star Camp. All applications are due by WEDNESDAY, March 1. Swimmers who do not have any AA times are welcome to apply; however, priority will be given to athletes who meet the AA time standard in multiple events.
Parents, if you would be interested in chaperoning the overnight activities, please submit your chaperone application by Monday, March 20. You can print the application thru the link below:
