CCS and Sierra Nevada Swimming, in a joint project, have created a new short course trials/finals meet for 14 & Unders. The meet is called the South Western Age Group Regionals (with the acronym name of "SWAGR"). The meet is designed to be a faster competition (AA time standards) than either CCS's or SNS's respective SC JOs and to give JO competitors another level of short course competition before long course season begins.
As a joint project, CCS and SNS have agreed to host the meet respectively in alternate years. The inaugural meet will be hosted by CCS at the Clovis North facility on March 18 thru 21, 2016. SNS will host the meet in 2017, probably at the Roseville facility, although that is yet to be determined.
For more information, please refer to the Meet Information Fact Sheet on the Meet Schedule page of the CCS website.
CCS would like to give a special thanks to Mark Bennett who, as the CCS Age Group Vice-Chairman, spearheaded the effort to put this meet together along with his counterparts in Sierra Nevada Swimming.
