2015 Zone Team Information

2015 Western Zone Championships
August 2 - August 9, 2015
Maui, Hawai'i

CCS will be sending a 14 & Under All-Star Team to compete in the 2015 Western Zone Championships. The Western Zone meet is the premier long course championship event for our age group swimmers. They will swim against the top age group swimmers in the Western United States. Donít miss this chance to compete with the "Best in the West"!!!!

CCS will be sending a smaller team than in the past. The rationale behind this approach is primarily to reduce the cost to the individual families for the trip, and thus, hopefully, removing a possible impediment to fielding the best CCS team possible.

2014 Volunteer of the Year Nominations

CCS is now accepting nominations for it's USA Swimming Outstanding Service Award or, less formally, Volunteer of the Year Award.

The Outstanding Service Award was established in 1981 to recognize the invaluable contribution to the volunteer service to USA Swimming. The award, sponsored by ConocoPhillips, is presented annually to an honoree named by each of the 59 Local Swimming Committees (LSC). Selection criteria considers quality, level and years of volunteer service in elected or appointed positions from among the categories of administrator, official, and coach.

USA Swimming, ConocoPhillips and Central California Swimmint take great pride in honoring the role of the volunteer as an important investment in the future of all swimming athletes and the growth of the programs they represent.

Volunteers have been the heart and strength of American swimming, and their special gifts of time, talent and devotion to local swimming programs make USA Swimming and Central California Swimming what it is today.

We are now accepting nominations through June 15. You can find the nomination form on The Dry Side, Awards, Volunteer of the Year, Nomination Form. Or click on this link: Volunteer of the Year Nomination.
